“I don't think this was covered in grad school! Thank you for this presentation.”

“I wanted to let you know Maggie just graduated and will be attending [a great college] and she is going Pre-Med. Without you, none of this would have been possible. I hope the people whose lives you have touched incomparably reach out to you from time to time to say thank you.”

“In the area of social communication, I happened to stumble upon several courses from Dr. Anna Vagin, who I have to say, has changed the way I look at social communication therapy and how I approach my groups. Dr. Vagin’s presentations did not just talk about what you should do with a group, but she actually walked us through lesson ideas that we could implement the very next day. Her use of YouTube videos to address a vast array of communication goals, is genius. Using YouTube, which is something that the students already know and love in order to target areas of weakness for them, makes total sense. It makes them feel that although they are learning something it still can be fun and entertaining. One of my last courses that reviewed gave us an amazing array of resources to use in groups that weren’t videos. I can’t wait to break out the RPG games in my therapy sessions within the next few weeks and see the look on my student’s faces. Having my fourth and fifth grade boys want to come to speech will be worth the hours spent listening to Dr. Vagin.”

“ I am absolutely obsessed with Dr. Anna Vagin she is amazing!”

“I think that the most beneficial course for my current and future students was the Anna Vagin course, Play. Pause. Learn. Using Engaging Media and Games to Support Social Learning. This course and the YouCue Bootcamp-3 Pathways for Social Learning by Anna Vagin will shape how I use these videos in my future therapy activities. The necessity of teletherapy this school year had me finding some of these videos own my own and developing activities very similar to the ones Dr. Vagin discussed. If I had only watched these professional development videos last summer, I would have saved myself many hours of searching. However, Dr. Vagin’s tips and tricks will continue to help me both in person and in teletherapy if needed in the years to come."

“I just attended your webinar. It was fantastic! Thank you for
presenting and for sharing so many practical tips and suggestions. You have given me a lot of food for thought. I always feel humbled after listening to your presentations. Thank you again!”

"A great presenter that had several videos in the area of social skills was Anna Vagin, PhD. I watched several of her videos including “Assumed Knowledge: Strengthening the Core of Social Cognition,” “YouTube for Social Learning: Teaching the Complexities of Cooperation,” and “Play. Pause. Learn. Using Engaging Media & Games to Support Social Learning.” I also listened to a podcast where she was interviewed by Char Boshart titled, “Turn it on - using media as social learning material.” I really enjoyed listening to her present, especially her 12 hour recording from her presentation on the speechtherapypd.com cruise."

“I can't wait to watch your latest Story Grammar Marker presentation.   I saw only part of it because I was working.   I loved the idea of acting out the script while playing a video clip with voice off. Brilliant and fun!  I've used your ideas countless times during my sessions.   You've reached many children through your work. Well done.”

“I wanted to share with you that I was FINALLY able to try your techniques on video therapy that  you taught us a few month ago.  I used the video, "Mariza, the Stubborn Donkey," with middle school students with high functioning autism. It went very well, I am so excited with the results! I never thought I would say this, but I was disappointed that today is Friday, as I am anxious to try this therapy again with other groups.

I have observed that you have  many strengths (i.e. creativity, passion, teaching, to mention a few).  I am always so touched when I see someone use their strengths in their career. It is inspiring that  you are are aware of your strengths, and so enthusiastic to share your creativity (and awesome therapy ideas) with others.  I am truly grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from you.  I believe I have become a better therapist from what I learned from you in just a few hours.  Thank you!!!”
