First, my super exciting news!! SocialScales is finally here!!π€© After several years working on the project, it feels wonderful to see it ready for all of you. So, look for the first launch email one week from today! The launch emails will be filled with all kinds of info so you can decide if SocialScales is right for you. (If you arenβt interested in SocialScales, youβll be able to opt out of the launch sequence.) π§
Iβve been writing recently about how several of my social groups are working on mistakes. Talking about the different kinds of mistakes we can make, how to handle apologies (whether giving or getting), and how to manage our feelings about mistakes. π¬
A group that is just getting started on these discussions spent a little time last week focusing on Maca and Roni. Letβs take a peek at their work:
First, we watched Maca & Roni: Dominos. Students knew to be on the lookout for mistakes by any of the characters. And, wow, we found quite a few π:
βEveryone was having a great time talking about all these errors β laughing, enjoying each other. To continue the fun, they decided to do some illustrating:
βEach illustration was unique, and really captured the details of the mistakes made, as well as how the other characters in the situation felt. A great first discussion about mistakes. Stay tuned to hear more from this group!
