Where clinical ideas have room to grow

For years, Step Into My Sessions has been a place to share ideas from my work with students.

Now, I’m creating a space to stay with those ideas a little longer.

Step Into My Sessions: Studio is a space for going deeper into the work we’re already doing. More connection between what we notice in sessions, what we read, and how we make sense of it over time.

Because important ideas don’t travel on their own. They need time, context… and someone to carry them into practice.

What This Is

Most professional learning moves quickly.

New ideas. New strategies. Something to try in your next session.

That kind of learning has its place—and it can be very helpful.

But often, the more challenging part of our work isn’t finding something new. It’s making sense of what we’re already seeing.

The Studio is a weekly newsletter designed for that kind of thinking.

Each month, we focus on a small set of ideas and stay with them long enough to:

  • understand what they really mean

  • notice how they show up across students and contexts

  • consider how they might shape our decisions over time

You won’t find quick fixes here. You’ll find ideas that unfold—and support the kind of clinical thinking that lasts.

How It Works

There are two ways to engage with Step Into My Sessions.

The Studio

The Studio is a paid, exclusive newsletter where we stay with ideas over time. Instead of moving quickly from one topic to the next, we work in themed learning arcs over the course of several weeks so that one idea has time to develop.

The Free Newsletter

My free newsletter will continue on a monthly basis: focused on one idea grounded in real clinical work, with perspective and practical insight you can take into your sessions right away.

At a Glance: What’s Inside the Studio

Themed Learning Arcs | Real Clinical Examples | Practical Application

Every 4-6 weeks, we will dive into themed learning arcs broken down into a number of modules. Each module delves deeper into the topic, uncovering new applications, clinical examples, and considerations for observing, practicing, and implementing various methods and tools.

All delivered right to your inbox!

Plus, A Few Member Perks: Early product access, occasional discounts, pop-up office hours, & resources shared here first.

Who This Is For

The Studio is designed for clinicians who find themselves thinking about their work beyond the session.

You might recognize yourself here:

  • You work with students where social learning feels complex—and not easily captured by simple goals or percentages.

  • You want more than ideas to try—you want a clearer way to think about what you’re seeing.

  • You notice yourself returning to certain questions, even after a session ends.

  • You’re interested in how research connects to real-life practice—but not in a way that feels abstract or disconnected.

  • You value reflection, but don’t always have a place or structure to support it.

If you’ve ever thought, “there’s more going on here than I can easily explain,” you’re not alone—and you’re in the right place

Membership

For context: that’s less than the cost of a single CEU—with learning that builds on itself over time, from a clinician who has spent 40 years doing this work.

For those who have been reading Step Into My Sessions, I’m offering a founding member rate of $12/month—locked in for as long as you stay. This rate closes when enrollment opens on September 1, 2026, so if it fits, don’t wait.

Our first learning arc begins in September. In the meantime, the free newsletter continues—and I’ll share more about what’s taking shape as we get closer.

A note about this

The Studio isn’t designed to add more to your already full schedule.

It’s a way to spend a bit of time more intentionally—with ideas that are already part of your work.

At your pace, with enough structure to stay with something and see it through.

This work is complex. It asks us to hold multiple perspectives, to notice small shifts, and to support growth that doesn’t always fit into neat categories.

The Studio is a place to do that—together.
